And this is why: I was driving home the other night listening to Christmas music on the radio and Taylor Swift’s rendition of “Last Christmas” came on and it got me thinking….that girl is seriously screwed up when it comes to “love.” To back up my theory let’s take a good long look at her laundry list of songs written about ex-boyfriends.

And those are just what we know of. Clearly other songs like “Our Song” and “Enchanted” are also songs about boys in Taylor’s life. Now, I understand that she’s young and therefore shouldn’t be tied to one person specifically, but her habitual use of the word “love” leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Also, it’s hard to see her in an actual, functioning, long-term relationship because her music career would clearly be over. Is there nothing else this girl can write about other than dating or ex-boyfriends? I know Taylor fans will unite to hate me, and quote the lyrics of “Mean” but let’s face it: all Taylor knows is relationships. She’s a relationship junkie. Now I say this with several T-Swift songs on my ipod, because I do like her singing, I just wish she’d learn to sing about something else to give her credability! I imagine anytime now, probably around New Year’s Eve something will happen between Taylor and Jake, so she can add in a song about him on her next cd that she’s working on. Shoot, she’ll probably throw in a song about Ashley Greene now that she’s dating Joe. Maybe Taylor will go after Zac Efron next since he’s newly single…who knows, all I do know is; Taylor fans better hope she never gets married.
